Mumbai : Bollywood’s popular comic actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav continues to face ongoing troubles. His difficulties are increasing again due to a cheque bounce case. His properties are now set to be auctioned. On one hand, he is facing a financial crunch, and on the other, two of his properties are scheduled to be auctioned by September 9. The Central Bank of India in Mumbai has already put up notices outside these properties for the auction. Rajpal reportedly owes the bank ₹16 crore 61 lakh 64 thousand.

Rajpal had taken a loan from the bank for his film Ata Pata Laapata. After failing to repay the loan, the veteran actor is now burdened with crores of rupees in debt. Notices have been issued regarding the mortgaged properties. The combined value of these two properties is said to be ₹3 crore 19 lakh 26 thousand. One property is located in the city, while the other includes land and a house in a village. The auction process will begin from September 9.

Mother’s property also mortgaged

To secure the loan, Rajpal Yadav had also mortgaged properties belonging to his wife Radha Yadav and his mother Godavari Yadav. The bank has now started taking action on those properties as well. Reports suggest that apart from Shahjahanpur, auction proceedings have also begun for two more of his properties in Mumbai.

What is the full case?

The cheque bounce case against Rajpal Yadav was filed by a company whose owner also resides in Shahjahanpur. Following this incident, Rajpal has been going through both legal and financial difficulties. After notices were pasted on his properties, the issue has once again come into public discussion. Bank officials stated that these actions are being taken as per rules to recover the loan amount.
