Massive Devotee Rush at Vedvyas Temple on Shravan Monday

Rourkela (Vedvyas): A massive rush of devotees was witnessed today at the Vedvyas Temple on the occasion of Shravan Monday. Thousands of devotees gathered since early morning to offer Jalabhishek to Lord Shiva, creating long queues around the temple premises and ghats.

Devotees carrying holy water were seen chanting “Bol Bam” and “Har Har Mahadev” while proceeding towards the shrine. The atmosphere turned highly devotional as continuous prayers and rituals were performed throughout the day.

During the holy month of Shravan, Vedvyas Temple in Rourkela traditionally witnesses heavy crowds, especially on Mondays and major occasions like Shivaratri, when thousands assemble for worship.

Local administration and police made special arrangements to manage the crowd and ensure smooth darshan for devotees. Despite the heavy rush, the situation remained under control with proper security and queue systems in place.

The confluence site of the Brahmani, Sankh, and Koel rivers at Vedvyas added to the spiritual significance, attracting devotees from different parts of Odisha and nearby states.
