Medical Officer Dismissed from Service by Chief Minister Over Corruption Charges

Bhubaneswar : Reaffirming the Odisha government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has dismissed Dr. Patitapaban Barik, former Medical Officer of Gurundia Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sundargarh district, from government service.

Dr. Barik is currently posted at Gurandi CHC in Gajapati district. He was found guilty of corruption related to his tenure at Gurundia CHC in Sundargarh district.

Acting on the findings, the Chief Minister ordered his dismissal from government service.

The Odisha government has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, with the Chief Minister directing officials at all levels of the administration to take strict action against corrupt practices. He has consistently maintained that no corrupt official will be spared.
