Nurse Found Dead in Rented House in Sundargarh; Reason Remains Unknown
Sundargarh, Odisha | August 23, 2026: A 23-year-old woman, identified as Sushmita Tirkey, was found dead at her rented accommodation in the Sriram Nagar area of Sundargarh town, triggering concern in the locality.
According to reports, Sushmita was residing in a rented house at Sriram Nagar and was working as a nurse at Shantilata Hospital. She was originally from Rangiadhipa village under Subdega block of Sundargarh district.
Police were informed about the incident and reached the spot to begin an investigation. The body was recovered and sent to the Sundargarh District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination.
