DISHA Meeting Reviews Development Priorities for Debagad District

Debagad, September 17, 2026: A meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held in Debagad to review the progress of development and infrastructure projects in the district.

Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan attended the meeting and reviewed the implementation of various Central and State government welfare schemes, along with measures aimed at improving basic services and infrastructure in the district.

Special attention was given to the health and nutritional needs of children and adolescents, irrigation and agricultural development, road connectivity, telecommunications infrastructure and electrification.

The meeting also discussed the proposed four-laning of the Kanaktara–Rengali road, construction of overbridges and vehicle underpasses at important locations in Debagad town, and expansion of BSNL network coverage.

Officials and elected representatives participated in the meeting and discussed development-related issues concerning the district.
