Debagada Youth Alok Behera Missing for Over a Month; Father Appeals to SP for Urgent Search

Debagada, Odisha: A family in Debagada district of Odisha has been living in distress for more than a month after their son went missing under mysterious circumstances. Despite a missing-person complaint and an ongoing police search, there has been no information about the whereabouts of the youth, prompting his father to personally appeal to the Debagada Superintendent of Police (SP) for urgent intervention.

The missing youth has been identified as Alok Behera, a resident of Brahmanipali village under Kantabahal Gram Panchayat in Reamal block of Debagada district.

Youth Went Missing After Going to Nearby Stream

According to the family, Alok left his home on the morning of July 5 to go to a nearby stream for his daily routine. However, he did not return home afterwards.

When Alok failed to come back, his family members became increasingly worried and began searching for him at various places. Despite their efforts, they could not trace him.

The family subsequently lodged a missing-person complaint at Kundheigola Police Station on July 6, requesting police assistance in locating him.

Police Search Continues, But No Clue Yet

Police have reportedly been investigating the disappearance and conducting searches to locate the missing youth. However, more than a month has passed since Alok disappeared, and his family is yet to receive any concrete information about his whereabouts.

The prolonged absence has increased anxiety among his family members, who are desperately waiting for his safe return.

Father Appeals to Debagada SP

With no breakthrough so far, Alok’s father, Laxman Behera, met the Debagada SP and appealed for intensified efforts to trace his son at the earliest.

Laxman has also made an emotional appeal through the media, requesting members of the public to assist the family in locating Alok.

According to the family, anyone who has seen Alok in Debagada district, anywhere else in Odisha, or outside the state is requested to immediately provide information.

The family hopes that increased public awareness and cooperation will help generate vital information that could lead to Alok’s safe return.
