No Engineering Degree, Yet Skilled Hands Produce LED Bulbs
Koida,: Without any formal engineering education, a group of women in Koida has demonstrated that determination, training and practical skills can open new avenues for self-employment. The women have taken up the work of assembling and producing LED bulbs, turning their skills into a source of livelihood.
According to the report, the initiative was started with the objective of providing employment opportunities to local women and making them economically self-reliant. The women received training in the process of assembling LED bulbs and have since been working together to produce the bulbs.
The group consists of 14 women, who are involved in the production process. They undertake different stages of the work, including assembling the components and preparing the bulbs for sale. The initiative has enabled the members to earn an income while working from their local area.
The women reportedly produce LED bulbs at a relatively low cost and sell the finished products in the local market. The activity has also helped them gain confidence and develop practical technical skills without requiring formal engineering qualifications.
The initiative is being viewed as an example of women’s empowerment through skill development and self-employment. The members are hopeful that with greater market support and demand, the activity can be expanded further and provide better income opportunities.
The effort demonstrates that technical work is not necessarily limited to formally educated professionals and that proper training can enable women from local communities to acquire useful skills and become financially independent.
